Though it might not come as a surprise to basketball fans, a Stanford Medicine study found that the more often a professional basketball player drives the ball toward the basket to score, the higher the risk of the dreaded knee injury known as an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear.

His research focuses on the development and application of machine learning methods for human mobility data including medical imaging, wearable sensor measurements, video, and kinematics collected from lab-based motion capture systems.
