Poonch Fort or Poonch Qila is considered to be one of the historically rich castles of Jammu and Kashmir, India. Located at the town of Poonch in the district of same name of the state, the fort was built by Raja Rustam Khan between 1760 and 1787. The architecture of the fort is hugely influenced by the Mughal style of architecture. It was Raja Moti Singh who was so amazed with the architecture of the fort that he kept on renovating it for 40 years. Once, he had hired European architect to beautify the palace in European style of architecture. Now, it has gained importance as one of the attractive tourist destinations of the Poonch.
