On February 12, 2014 the National Corvette Museum experienced a sinkhole collapse in the Skydome. Eight Corvettes fell in, but were later recovered and put on display. Of the eight, two were restored by General Motors (the 1992 'One Millionth' and the 2009 ZR1 'Blue Devil'). The third and final to be restored was the 1962 Tuxedo Black Corvette. Work was performed in the Museum's AutoZone Maintenance and Preservation Area and the car was revealed on the fourth anniversary of the sinkhole.
