On 05 July 2022, the CGETDC conducted Reception Rites to the newly aboard Nineteen (19) Officers and Eighty-eight (88) Non-Officers OWLETS at HCGETDC, Coast Guard Base Farola, spearheaded by Commander, Coast Guard Education, Training and Doctrine Command, CG COMMO EUSTACIO NIMROD P ENRIQUEZ JR.

In a Squid Games themed reception rites, the newly aboard CGETDC personnel acted as players and performed a series of physical activities under the supervision of CGETDC Officers who acted as VIPs.

Unlike in the popular Korean Series "Squid Game", the Commander, CGETDC in his message reminded everyone that at CGETDC the VIPs (Leadership) are very much involved in the affairs of the Command and not simply watching and being entertained from a distance. Furthermore, he said that while in the “Squid Game” there exist betrayal among players, such does not exist at CGETDC, He welcomed all the newly reported personnel and reminded them that in CGETDC, we work together as a team in fulfilling the CGETDC vision.
The reception rites is a time-honored PCG Tradition to welcome those who heeded the call to be included in any PCG Unit.
