I've had 2x GTX 780 ti Graphics Cards that died within a week of each other. Had them sitting around for years and read somewhere a heat gun will work. Tried the oven trick in the past without success on a different crappy card. This however surprised me not once, but twice! Two for Two!! Yew!!!
This should work with all GPUs that are either black screen, show artifacts, low resolution, or crash under heavy load. It is of course not gauranteed, but what you haven't got much to lose in my opinion.
Update - I've been putting them through their paces the past few days running heavy benchmark tests. So far, so good. Temps max out around 72c, and there hasn't been any glitches or crashes.
I'll update here if they fault over next few months.
