Update Volcano in Iceland erupting now! Houses destroyed by fire after lava flow entering Grindavik
The volcano on the Reykjanes peninsula erupted in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Partially constructed defences have held back the lava, but some fortifications have been breached. Lava burns everything in its path.
The main road to the Icelandic town of Grindavik has been cut off by lava flows creeping towards homes.
