Industrial railroad switcher working with older B36-7 on Norfolk Southern Peavine branch line railroad in Ohio. Cincinnati Eastern Railroad operates these historic locomotives and leases this historic railroad branch line in southern Ohio. Listen to these awesome locomotives as they pass through Sardinia and Mount Orab, Ohio. The old caboose in Mount Orab is featured and I tried to show the inside of it. I show a flashback of a Norfolk Southern move from 2013 of the same place in Mount Orab. I filmed that when NS was running the locomotive light to Sardinia to move stored rail cars off the Sardinia Holdout track so that a high rail truck could spray herbicide. Back then there was only one train a week on this part of the line and this was an extra movement. Notice the awesome location of the house at Eastwood Rd! They have a front row seat of all the action but the occupant is not a railfan. He said he never even hears the trains. Just think of all the railfans who would love to live there. Lol. Anyway, I just wanted to show the MP15 (which is a new addition ) and the B36-7 running together. Do you know of any other place where you can see that? Filmed May 28, 2019. The Ticking Sound From The Locomotives Explained! They're actually called "spitter valves". There is one on each main reservior and they are used to expell moisture from the air brake system. It seems like they tend to spit more in high humidity, cold weather conditions.
