🇬🇷 Greece: Violent clashes in Thessaloniki following the deadliest train accident in the country
Several thousand people took to the streets of Thessaloniki, in northern Greece, on March 3 to express their anger towards the authorities of the country following the railway accident that occurred on February 28. Clashes broke out between the police and protesters.
This train accident is the deadliest in the country's history: a train carrying 342 passengers collided head-on with an oncoming freight train, resulting in 57 deaths, on the night of February 28.
