Traditionally lead acid batteries were not designed for frequent power outages and with the onset of loadshedding, they simply do not have the lifespan that we require. Here, Kevin shows how simple it is to change this lead acid battery to a Lalela LiFePO4. These Lithium Iron batteries have the exact same dimensions as traditional lead acid, so no modifications are needed - it is a simple swap out. Lithium Iron batteries are much better suited to frequent power outages, and with over 2000 charge cycles available the lifespan of these batteries is much longer.
