A virtual walking tour in Toronto around Village of Islington on Dundas St. W, known as "Village of Murals". Islington Mural Mosaic, introduced in 2004, with 28 murals spanning over 15,000 square feet of outdoor art space features photo realistic art, illustrating actual people, places and events from the past connecting to our area’s history.
The tour starts at Islington TTC Subway Station. After walking along Islington Avenue to the north, we turn left on Dundas St. W and enter the Village of Murals. There are several beautiful murals that we stop by but what also interesting are the unique store fronts we see on the street. Walking for about 15 minutes and reaching the end of the mural collections, we then head toward Kipling TTC Subway Station. Along the way, we see a cluster of newly developed highrise building which the tour goes across, and then stop at the terminal station.
