ScurtDae, also known as David Aaron Ruff, was born on April 21, 1998, in San Diego, California. He started writing poetry as a hobby, but a friend who was a musician encouraged him to turn his words into songs. While attending Platt College in San Diego for Graphic Arts and Marketing, ScurtDae found a community of creative and talented individuals who inspired and supported his music career.
