[ Ссылка ] - Barcode Experiment #1: Is it possible to draw a Code-39 bar code by hand?
One of TEC-IT's employees draws a Code39 barcode. The data encoded in the code is the start-character (an asterisk *), the digit 1 and a stop character (again an asterisk). The manually "generated" barcode is then decoded with a smartphone.

The readability of the code is perfect: We scanned the barcode with an industry barcode scanner from Denso and with the camera scanner app "ZXing" running on a HTC Legend Android smartphone.
If you try to decode the barcode with a camera scanner app please make sure the barcode symbology in question is supported by the App. ZXing is free and can be downloaded from Android market.
We invite you to play around! Generate sample barcodes on [ Ссылка ], draw or paint them (any other ideas are appreciated) - and upload a video response.
Outstanding video responses will be mentioned on [ Ссылка ] regularly!
