As vehicle availability improved to somewhat more reasonable levels in the first-half of 2023, sales at so-called luxury auto brands increased at a distinctly healthier pace than those of a more mainstream bent.
Canada’s list of the most popular premium brands is once again led by German marques — the European establishment holds three of the four top spots. Yet there is a very obvious shift occurring as different automakers work through the supply crunch at their own pace and as loyalty to the establishment falters.
Of special note when examining this list of Canada’s 10 leading luxury brands is the absence of Lincoln (the parent company of which, Ford, is no longer reporting monthly or quarterly Canadian results) and the absence of specific results for Tesla.
