WALTER CRONKITE opens the awards ceremony. CATHERINE ZETA-JONES introduces SEAN CONNERY of "James Bond" fame. {Don't miss Sean dancing a "Scottish" jig at the end as some Scottish music is played!} His biography is shown on screen. The tributes start with the entrance of the City of Washington Pipe Band playing bagpipes and marching onto the stage. Then Alasdair Frasier plays "The Scottish Soul" on the violin and there is some Scottish dancing. Mairi Campbell & Dave Francis, all the way from Edinborough, perform 'Auld Lang Syne' ("with the actual melody Robert Burns wrote 200 years ago"). Thanks to "cdcotr" for the performers' names.
Debra Battle:
I love it when you have all the honorees from that year!!!

She's one of the USA's great dancers. As a young woman, she worked with Agnes de Mille and then went to work with Alvin Ailey, and then came back to lead his company. I don't know if you know those names, but if not, know that they -and she- are giants.

I love it how Bill Clinton got all excited looking at Catherine Zeeta Jones
Aura Hyel:
A good many of us, myself included, are not the least bit interested in your background. Upload the videos as you wish, but keep personal comments out of it.
My reply: Wow, sorry I so offended you with a simple remark about my background! Yes, as you suggested, I will upload videos as I wish, including personal comments if I wish and if you don't like it, too bad....... and please don't presume to speak for other people...!
Kathie Hansen:
His father's people migrated from Ireland to Scotland in the past, the maternal side of family is all Scots. So he has some Irish in him....had to have I say
Eric Stenzel:
Catherine Zeta-Jones should have been recognized for that great plunge-line. No bra, and very sexy. She's a goddess to be loved, repeatedly.
Eric Stenzel:
Who the hell is that black woman recognized? Never heard of her and see no talent therein.
Eric Stenzel:
Stevie Wonder? A hack piano player and sang in the same high tone for every song. Quite unimpressive and un-duly recognized.
Chico Vera:
What a splendid guy you are Sean Connery.
MrBarberGuy

I think these are the names I heard :Alistair Frasier played the violin, Mairi Campbell and Dave Francis did Auld Lang Syne
My reply:
I sure appreciate hearing from you 'cdcotr'. I've added those names to the description. With the info you provided, I took a look at Wikipedia and found that Alistair is spelled Alasdair but wouldn't have got that far without your help. Thank you.
cdcotr:
+Violet Pearl no problem, esp since I've been enjoying watching the vids you've put up. Been great learning abt these great artists. So thank you. I was wondering if I spelled Alistair right :-)
