CNY Dishes | Sharks-Fin Soup Using Imitation Sharks-Fin (5-6 Servings). Imitation sharksfin is made up with gelatin, so it's like a jelly but harder. Before use, i would normally cook it for 10mins.
Ingredients:
1 bowl of imitation sharks-fin
1 pot of pork broth
100g of shredded chicken
100g of shredded imitation crab meat
100g of shitake mushroom, soak until soften and cut into slices (keep the soaking water for seasoning purpose)
50g of julienned carrot
50g of fish maw, soak until soften and cut into slices
Some sliced spring onion (to garnish)
1 clove of chopped garlic
1 clove of chopped shallot
1 teaspoon of chopped ginger
2-3 tablespoons of corm-starch (diluted with pork broth)
2 chicken eggs, well beaten
Seasonings:
1 small bowl of mushroom’s soaking water
2 tablespoons of oyster sauce
A little bit of Shao Hsing cooking wine
Few drops of Ong Ky premium fish sauce
Pinch of salt
Garnishing:
Sliced spring onion
Imitation sharks-fin
Few dashes of white pepper
Few drops of black vinegar
Ready to serve ~ Yum
