UPDATE: As of April 8, 2022, employers are no longer required to have a COVID-19 Safety Plan and must follow communicable disease guidance instead.
If you’re an employer in British Columbia, it’s important that you continue to review, update, and communicate your COVID-19 safety plans as conditions change. The third step in developing a workplace COVID-19 safety plan is to develop and communicate COVID-19 policies.
Develop the necessary policies to manage your workplace, including policies around who can be at the workplace, how to address illness that arises at the workplace, and how workers can be kept safe in adjusted working conditions.
Ensure your workplace policies align with guidance from the Provincial Health Officer.
Have policies in place to support workers in receiving vaccinations to the extent that you are able, and clearly communicate these policies to workers.
