In 1921, an incident occurred in Tulsa, Oklahoma, marking a tragic chapter in American history. A young Black man named Dick Rowland was accused of assaulting a White woman named Sarah Page in an elevator. As a result, armed clashes between Black and White residents ensued, culminating in the Tulsa Race Massacre. Over 300 Black residents were killed, and many homes and businesses were destroyed.
