In this video we talk about the history of the Funkites, a schism in the Franconia Mennonite Congregation in Montgomery County, PA. HSMC Curator, Karen Ploch, provides an overview of the origins of the Mennonites and how the Funkites emerged from them in 1778. The video concludes with images of the Funkite Cemetery in Evansburg State Park, which is one of the few surviving structures connected to this religious faction.
