CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A federal health agency says working at Cincinnati Police's District 5 is not connected to employee cancer.
Police officers and their union had questioned whether the now-unused building was dangerous, but the National Institute for Occupational Health and Safety studied the statistics, and concluded the number of District 5 officers who had cancer was not out of line with city employees who worked elsewhere.
District 5 officers have been transferred to a temporary facility while the city decides where to put a new police station.
District 5 covers from College Hill to Clifton.
