Driving around historical Sta. Ana Manila
Sta. Ana Manila was part of the immense municipality of Santa Ana de Sapa aka the pre-colonial Kingdom of Namayan. (Reference: [ Ссылка ])
The wide settlement reached its peak in 1175. Details including the lineage of its rulers were documented by Franciscan scholar Fr. Felix de Huerta.

Driving through Lamayan, we see that some of the grand old colonial houses still stand in the pre-Hispanic seat of power of Lakan Tagkan and Lady Buan.
Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for the pre-colonial Buddhist Temple which is being asked to be removed from the National Museum’s lost Important Cultural Properties. (reference: [ Ссылка ])
This area around the Parish of Our Lady of the Abandoned wasn't the center of the colonial settlement until 1578, from then on this area of Sta. Ana became what was called the Forbes Park of old Manila.
