Mary Hayden, a research scientist in NCAR's Research Applications Lab, shares one component of its weather and climate Health program: the case of dengue fever. Due to current climate change, our weather and climate are changing and impacting temperature- or water-related diseases such as Dengue. Increased incidences of these diseases are anticipated.There are 90 million cases of dengue fever annually, and their occurrence is growing in the Americas.
