Interplanetary dust reflects sunlight back to Earth, creating a band of light that can most easily be seen before dawn or after dusk. This video uses images from the all-sky camera at the Mount Laguna Observatory to show the zodiacal light and how you can observe it yourself from anywhere dark enough to see the milky way.
