The High Court in Pretoria found that a large number of the government's regulations governing levels 3 and 4 of the nationwide lockdown were irrational, and must be amended to fall in line with the constitution. It suspended its ruling for 14 days to give Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma time to redraft the regulations to ensure they pass the legal test of rationality.
