This is a video of a newborn with swelling in the neck. This swelling is cystic hygroma. cystic hygroma is a congenital multiloculated lymphatic lesion that can arise anywhere but is classically seen in the left posterior triangle of the neck & armpits.
It may be found at birth or discovered later in an infant after an upper respiratory tract infection.
Transillumination test is positive i.e. application of light source to the mass revealed complete transillumination which is consistent with the diagnosis of cystic hygroma.
