PARMADAN FOREST (বিভূতিভূষণ অভয়ারণ্য) : parmadan forest is known as 'Bibhutibhushan Avayaronno', loketed at mongalgang and the length of this forest is almost 227 acres. This forest is near about 100 km away from kolkata and 30 km from Bongaon railway station and almost 35 km from Chakdah railway station. Parmadan forest is famous for spotted deer and Indian langur there are 450 spotted deer in this wildlife Sanctuary, like wisely there are lots of species of birds which make this place more beautiful for every nature lover. There is a river which is called Icchamoti flowing across the forest and the other side of this river is called Mangalgang, and you can visit the only ancient British building which is called Nilkhuthi here. I think this is a perfect one day travel destination nearby from kolkata.
