Dramatic final footage released shows Jacko looked well, appeared happy and had 'incredible energy', witnesses said. Two days later he was dead of a heart attack.


Meanwhile, thousands of Michael Jackson fans have gathered at the star's Neverland estate but plans for a memorial or funeral appear completely confused.

Jackson's family announced they would not hold a memorial service in Neverland and that he would not lie in state on the ranch.

'We're terribly disappointed,' said Ida Barron, 44, who arrived in Santa Barbara with her husband, Paul, 56, intending to spend several days in a tent.

'Now we're going to have to just go home,' said Mr Barron.

Several arenas in Los Angeles have been touted as options for a mass memorial, possibly on Tuesday, but nothing has been announced.

Meanwhile, the wall-to-wall mourning seems to be cracking.

New York Post writer Linda Stasi described Jackson as a 'drug-addled, creepy-beyond-words, accused paedophile who literally bought his children'.
