Twenty-year-old Peyton Medick started Peyton's Promise when she was just 8 years old. The organization helps keep local food pantries stocked.
Twelve years later, she's still helping even while away for college at UW Lacrosse.
Peyton's mom Tina went to a Greenheck manufacturing plant in Schofield Friday to pick up donations from the employees.
The company collected food for the past two weeks because they wanted to help Peyton's mission.
"That little girl is now a junior in college," said Tina Medick. "She wanted to make sure kids didn't go to bed hungry. Our mission is to make the world a better place one can at a time."
Greenheck donated food and cash. The money will be used to buy higher priced items.
