On June 26, I streamed Sandwich again after several months of producing my own music (Search Stephen Santi on Spotify or Apple Music please). The usual, I will play Five on the Floor to get ideas on guitar riffs and drum patterns, but algorithm played 2 Trick Pony. I felt eight years old again. hahaha!
While reading Pugad Baboy (I have collection of it from 1 to 25 since I was 10 y.o.), a drum cover played on my bluetooth speakers. It was a video from Mai Medina Singson. Sabi ko: “Parang pamilyar yung pangalan.” Siya pala yung taga La Salle sa Biik series sa PB na kinuha nila Miss Nobatos para mapilitan mag-english sina Paltik. Pero nag-tagalog din siya nung huli. Hahaha! 🤣
It's rare for me to do covers because I always believe what Ely, Rico, and Lennon said, that they would rather write their own music than echo the art of others. But here, I had fun.
Also, I got reconnected with my "ka-service" after ten years of no updates about him. I couldn't imagine before that he would become a musician and a great bass player. Dati nagaway kami, binato ko siya ng bato, binato niya ako ng tinapay, literal! At Gardenia pa ha. Sosyal! 🤣 This one is a great start to many more collabs!
