Although people might confuse them with one another due to the similarities in design, VR and AR are two completely different technologies that serve different purposes.
Virtual Reality (VR) creates a completely artificial world and immerses the user in it. VR technology often uses a headset that covers the user's eyes and ears, blocking out the real world, and replaces it with a simulated environment.
Augmented Reality (AR), on the other hand, adds digital elements to the real world, creating a hybrid experience. AR technology can be experienced through devices like smartphones, tablets, or smart glasses.
