1st feature is the integrated load cells in the top of the weigh crate. That means that the weigh crate is suspended from the weighing equipment at the top of the machine, giving the crate a low entry height. This also means the entry and exit gates are separate from the weighing area. This design is unique on the market giving it more accurate and fast weighing with the added benefit of not having to place the machine on level ground.
The 2nd feature is the fact that the entry and exit gates are not attached to the weighing system. Now what that means is that if an animal is pushing up on the back of the gate from behind the machine it won’t affect the weight of the animal inside the crate. Also the entry gate is reactive, so if an animal is stuck half way in the gate it will reopen itself to allow the animal to walk all the way in, and won’t start the weigh cycle until the gate is fully closed eliminating mistakes.
The 3rd feature is the integrated EID, it is a loop that goes around the entire crate of the drafter and the animals pass directly through it. This means the position of the tag doesn’t matter as it will always be read.
The 4th feature is the dual control. The Racewell Drafter has a dashboard on the top of the machine as well as a radio remote control that has all the controls on it. You can control the machine from anywhere in the yard.
The 5th feature is the trailer system. The drafter sits inside it and is winched up into it and out of it. This makes it really easy for one person to load it or unload it. Also because of the design of the trailer, you can half unload it and maneuver it into place easily.
