U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers trained soldiers from the Latvian Zemessardze (national guard) 53rd Battalion in small-unit tactics.
Following days of training on operating in denied environments, a platoon-sized element of Latvian soldiers patrolled to and attacked a simulated enemy position near the city of Iecava.
Special Forces operators often train national guard soldiers in the Baltic Republics of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, improving their skills while enhancing their ability to work with U.S. forces in crisis situations.
Small Unit Tactics is the art of using Soldiers in squads and platoons to conduct war. These tactics prioritize moving behind enemy lines with little to no footprint while maintaining tight security. Use tactics to destroy the enemy by executing a perfect ambush.
