How to make a BJD head. It took about 3-4 hours of nonstop sculpting. I used Premier White stone clay, model magic for the inside structure, and an exacto knife to cut. Check out the next videos to see the rest of the process!
Yo SD size.
(I reuploaded this without music. By watching this you're helping me out since I make money off the ads. :D)
Q&A's:
Why'd you use model magic for the inside? You have to be able to get it out once you sculpt the head. Especially for the body, I had to scrape out the model magic since the hole isn't big enough to take the whole piece out.
Are you keeping it this way? I am going to cast the whole doll out of resin eventually once I'm done sculpting. If you want to make your own doll, this clay would work and you can either use clay, wooden balls, or marbles for the joints (as long as you can drill holes in them). Then you just hollow out the clay, paint it, seal it with a polyethylene, and string it and you have a bisque doll!
