For more than 2,000 years, the Ethiopian Orthodox Church has collected and stored away thousands of religious and cultural artifacts, an unknown number of ancient jeweled crowns, royal ceremonial regalia and vestments, parchments, books, manuscripts, crosses, paintings, Bibles, ecclesiastical robes, musical instruments and much more.
