Footwear can be incredibly important for deadlifts especially as you get more serious about your training. In fact, a good pair of shoes can sometimes be a make or break when pulling big weight and PRs.
In this video, I sit down with Basement Brandon and cover 4 different types of shoes that work really well for deadlifts.

Think of deadlift shoes as existing on a spectrum of specificity. As you get more serious with your deadlifts, so should your footwear.
My personal favorite shoe to deadlift in is a barefoot shoe, and more specifically, I reach out for the Tolos Archetype 1.0 or the Vivobarefoot Motus Strength JJF.
As mentioned in the video, Brandon's favorite shoe to deadlift in is a deadlift slipper but he's also a barefoot shoe fan.
