To the farmer's surprise, the rooster flew! He flew over the farmer's house, over the barn, and over the entire farm. The farmer was amazed, and he realized that he had a very special rooster on his hands.

So, he decided to enter the rooster in the county fair's annual flying contest. The day of the contest arrived, and the farmer arrived at the fair with his rooster in tow. The other farmers laughed and jeered at the farmer, but he was undeterred.

The rooster took off and flew higher and farther than any other bird, and the farmer won first prize in the flying contest. The other farmers were amazed, and they asked the farmer how he managed to train the rooster to fly.

The farmer replied, "I didn't train him to fly. I just trained him to hate the ground."
