A caring and compassionate staff of highly trained EMS professionals provides services to residents and visitors of Dare County.
Emergency Medical Services in Dare County are provided at the Advanced Life Support (ALS) level of care. All personnel hold credentials issued by the State of North Carolina, which require a high level of continuing education and on-going training.
EMS staff are stationed at 8 facilities throughout Dare County. The public is welcome to stop-by any EMS station for a routine blood pressure or glucose check as a free service. The duty crew will be happy to help unless they are out of the building responding to a call. However, IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING A MEDICAL EMERGENCY – DIAL 911 instead of attempting to make the trip to an EMS station.
