Revisiting the first update Minecraft PE released on in 2011

Now 13 years old, the beginning of Minecraft Pocket Edition is an interesting piece of the game's history. While forgotten about by many, there's still a large community of people who discovered Minecraft through this version years ago and now feel incredibly nostalgic towards it. This old update has many funny quirks due to hardware limitations of phones back in the day not being able to run the full game. There was no choice between survival or creative, instead you spawned in on a mode which mostly feels like creative. No health, no hunger, unlimited blocks but also you can't fly and mining is not instant like typical creative mode on other editions of the game. There is also the one exclusive item to the old pocket edition updates which is the cyan flower!!! If you played back then you will definitely remember it and it is also kind of sad it got removed as the game became closer to the PC version of the game throughout its development. Playing this definitely felt nostalgic but also the fact so many features are limited gives it a sort of creepy feeling. Like something is off with it. A lot of that is probably the old graphics with short render distances it makes you feel like something could appear from the fog ahead at any point lol.
