Violet syrup smells so quintessentially springy to me! So familiar: a little floral, but also strangely a little like artificial grape 🍇, and it’s gorgeous as all get out!
These violets are just your lovely Common Blue Violet (Viola sororia)
I wanted to write something insightful, about the thoughts going through my head while gathering flowers, or a childhood memory conjured up by the jewel-toned purple, but honestly I’m very tired and having a splendid time watching The Nanny while sipping a Violet Gin and Tonic 😆
