Bula! I wasn't going to post about our first trip overseas with our 2 boys but thought. Why not! We have been waiting 3 years for this! 🏝 So this is a quick video from our trip to the LOCAL FIJIAN MARKET!

One of my favourite quotes that really summarises why we love to travel and why we have been longing to go travelling again:

I don't know about you but since we were young we have had this insatiable wanderlust to explore many pages in the world's book 📖. We enjoy seeing the world in many different angles, to see other cities, to taste different cuisines (not going to lie, this is probably 70% of why we travel haha 🍣🥘), explore different cultures, and have conversations with people living completely different lives than our own. This really excites us, fills our cup and helps us to better understand the world we live in, to grow empathy and decrease negative stereotypes which helps us to love others more ❤.

Is there something you always do when you go overseas?

For us we ALWAYS go to their local market/supermarket, bravely buy things we have never tried and eat it together. This tradition we have set up honestly brings us so much joy and is also a lot of fun! Personally, I find this is one of the best ways to deep dive into another culture. This time we got to try sea grapes, cassava, yasawa lobsters, pineapple heavily coated in hot salty spice, Fijian chips and cookies and best of all my favourite exotic fruit SOURSOP! Trying new flavours, new ingredients and ways of cooking that I have never tried before just blows my mind!!

So travelling is pretty special to us and as a person who finds great joy in sharing all experiences that make me happy with people that I love, being able to finally take our boys overseas made my heart explode. We had the best time in Fiji and going with our friends made it extra special. Cannot wait for our next adventure!!
