The Stench of Treachery, who is the traitor? This is just a comparison between Birna Lif and Galinn scene. Eivor met with Soma to identify the traitor amongst Birna, Galinn, and Lif.
Birna was a Danish Viking who lived during the 9th century. A former pirate and smuggler, Birna joined the Great Heathen Army and came to serve under the jarlskona Soma, becoming one of her closest associates alongside Galinn and Lif.
Lif was a Viking skald and shipwright who served under Soma in Grantebridgescire, England during the 9th century. Alongside Birna and Galinn, Lif was one of Soma's closest associates.
Galinn (died 873) was a Viking who served under Soma in Anglo-Saxon England during the 9th century. Alongside Birna and Lif, he was one of Soma's closest associates. Ultimately, he betrayed Soma in order to pursue his own "destiny".
The real traitor is Galinn. Accusing the wrong person will have a major relationship effect towards Soma. There will also be an extra boss fight scene with the traitor later on.
It is possible to find Galinn's longship before rescuing him in the memory "Orphans of the Fens". Doing so will prompt Soma to comment that Galinn "[...] Must have been panicked to have strayed to such a place." Despite this, all characters will still act as though the boat had not been found yet during this quest.
While this quest will not be tracked until all of the support quests have been completed, Eivor can begin her investigations as soon as the memory "Glory Regained" has concluded. Only the questioning of the advisors is unavailable, until they return to the city.
Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is the twelfth main installment in the Assassin's Creed series developed by Ubisoft. In the game, the player takes control of Eivor,[ a Viking from Norway who participated in the Norse invasion of England during the 9th century.
Driven from Norway by endless wars and dwindling resources in the ninth century CE, players will lead Eivor's clan of Norsemen across the icy North Sea to the rich lands of England's broken kingdoms. Players must carve out a new future for their clan, reliving the ruthless fighting style of Viking warriors with a revamped combat system that includes the ability to dual-wield weapons against a greater variety of enemies than ever before.
