Wireless-Wireline Convergence Work Area Directors, Manuel Paul and Christelle Bouchat provide an overview of the Broadband Forum Wireless-Wireline Convergence work area.
The objective of the Work Area is to improve efficiencies, reduce redundant capital outlays, and, ultimately, provide a better customer experience by converging overlapping functions of the 5G and fixed access broadband networks.
They explain that this work area collaborates with 3GPP. The close relationship is evidenced by the release cadence, whereby the WWC's releases aligns with the 3GPP 5G releases.
