In May 1588, King Philip The Second of Spain launched a dangerous and ambitious mission to overthrow the English regime. Religious and political conflict had been driving the two nations apart until they ultimately became enemies. The King decided to send an armada of 30 warships to invade England hoping to force them under Spanish rule, however, things took an unexpected twist.
