Newly elected International Code Council (ICC) Board President Jay Elbettar makes his acceptance speech at the Annual Banquet at the 2017 ICC Annual Conference in Columbus, Ohio. Elbettar says that one of the main reasons ICC has done well is the involvement of members in helping the ICC publish the codes members wrote through their tireless work on committees, engagement in the code development process and chapter support. The association was, after all, founded by members to serve our members to benefit communities worldwide.
