Train the hip flexor in a Lengthened position
🤔 Exclusively training in a very shortened position isn’t the approach we would take with any other muscle, so why would you do that with your hip flexor?
When a muscle is very shortened it’s actively insufficient and can’t produce much force.
🏃🏽♂️ During athletic movements like sprinting, the hip flexor is most active in hip extension.
We want to train athletes to activate that hip flexor, get out of the excessive backside mechanics, and drive the knee forward.
🏋🏽♂️ While the end range lift offs look cool and get lots of likes, you’re better off training your hip flexor like an athlete than an instagram model.
