Noch während ihres Studiums bei Dennis Russel Davies gründete und leitet sie seit 1998 die Junge Philharmonie Salzburg. Ihre Musik lebt, sie entlädt Energie und Leidenschaft. Musik ohne Botschaft, ohne Aussage ist für Elisabeth Fuchs sinnlos. Das ist in jedem Konzert hör- und fühlbar. Die unkapriziöse junge Dirigentin versteht es, ohne Berührungsängste Gefühle in Musik zu verpacken und den Dirigierstab so zu schwingen, dass es ihre Musiker und das Publikum mitreißt. Ihr hoher Anspruch an sich selbst und an ihre Musik bewirkt, dass die Stücke als Kunstwerke in außerordentlich hoher Qualität ankommen. Elisabeth Fuchs ist es gelungen, aus der Jungen Philharmonie Salzburg ein international gefragtes Orchester zu machen, das es vortrefflich versteht, Junge und Alte Musik in selten zu findender Spontaneität und Perfektion wiederzugeben."

Die Internationale Stiftung Mozarteum (ISM) bzw. Stiftung Mozarteum Salzburg ist eine in der österreichischen Stadt Salzburg ansässige Non-Profit-Organisation, die sich mit der Person und dem Werk Wolfgang Amadeus Mozarts und dessen Bewahrung auseinandersetzt. Sie ist unter anderem Betreiberin der Museen in Mozarts Geburtshaus und Mozarts Wohnhaus und tritt auch als Veranstalterin der alljährlich stattfindenden „Mozartwoche" und von anderen Konzertreihen öffentlich in Erscheinung.
Die Stiftung Mozarteum wurde 1880 von Bürgern der Stadt Salzburg gegründet und hat ihre Wurzeln im „Dom-Musik-Verein und Mozarteum" von 1841. Mit Initiativen in den drei Kernbereichen Konzerte, Museen und Wissenschaft möchte sie die Brücke zwischen Bewahrung der Tradition und zeitgenössischer Kultur sein.
