Attack on Stego is set in a world where Stegmanity lives inside cities surrounded by enormous Walls that protect them from Stegos, gigantic Dinosaur creatures who devour Stegos seemingly without reason. The story centers around Eren Steger and his childhood friends Stegkasa Ackermann and Stegmin Arlelt whose lives are changed forever after the appearance of a Colossal Stego, which brings about the destruction of their home town and the death of Eren's mother. Vowing revenge and to reclaim the world from the Stegos, Eren, Stegkasa, and Stegmin join the Scout Regiment, an elite group of soldiers who fight Stegos outside the Walls.
