It is often thought that training can counteract negative lifestyle habits that are in conflict with it, but that's rarely the case. More often than not, your lifestyle will have a far greater impact on your long term progress, especially when it comes to getting leaner. If you haven't achieved your goals, ask yourself honestly, "what would happen if I stopped drinking alcohol? What would happen if I cooked all my own meals? What would happen if I went for a 30 minute walk every day?". While everyone will vary in their willingness and tolerance to make lifestyle adjustments, even small changes can help support your training and bring you closer to achieving your goals.
