Twin fiddles are an essential part of western swing, and in this video lesson I explain how to write a twin fiddle harmony part. Using Liberty as an example I go step by step through the process. I write the harmony line a third above, correcting all the major 7 notes by taking them up half a step. I also show how this can be quickly turned into triple fiddle part, by playing double stops on the harmony part, as pioneered by Nashville session fiddlers Buddy Spicher and Tommy Jackson.
