Riots broke out in France after the victory of the left in the parliamentary elections - Le Figaro

About 8,000 people gathered on the Place de la Republique in #Paris alone. Protesters set fire to garbage cans and threw bottles and firecrackers at police officers. Law enforcers used tear gas in response.

Protests were also held in other French cities.
