Hey everyone; I recently took part in a special Joe Satriani issue of Guitar Techniques Magazine; Issue 335. I put together four pieces looking at different stylistic ideas, as well as analysing Joe's signature licks, riffs and techniques. These "Mini Pieces" look at how Joe composes and plays Hard Rock, Blues, Ballads, and his use odd time signatures and unusual scales and modes. This video includes the "Hard Rock" style performance, plus I've discussed a little about gear used.
For this performance I used a stunning Ibanez JS2410, running directly into an IK Multimedia Axe I/O audio interface, with tones courtesy of IK Multimedia Amplitube 5 Joe Satriani.
